The Caped Crusader Says Goodbye In This Exclusive Preview Of This Week’s ‘Batman ’66’

One of the cleverest takes on Batman in recent years has been Batman ’66, a revival of the ’60s Batman TV series featuring the classic designs and even the likenesses of the actors, while simultaneously reinventing newer Bat-foes like Harley Quinn in the swinging ’60s mold.

Sadly, though, no comic book lasts forever, and this week, Batman ’66 wraps up its run with a two-parter. But it’s going out with a bang; Mike Allred, the top-notch artist who’s done covers for the entire run of the series, takes over as the interior artist as well for the final story, a marvelously meta moment where the Caped Crusader calls on crooks as they revel in a film fantasy. And how does it look? See for yourself!

Batman ’66 #72 will be available digitally tomorrow, same Bat-site, same Bat, uh, publisher!
