EA has just released a new live-action trailer for Star Wars Battlefront and, well, it’s definitely unique. Basically, the premise of the trailer is that Star Wars Battlefront is going to be the equivalent of The Rapture for Star Wars fans when it hits later this month. We see one person after another disappear, their clothes being the only thing they leave behind. One of the people spirited away is the lovely Anna Kendrick, who’s abducted whist making a giant middle of the night sandwich and dropping Star Wars quotes. Y’know, as one does when you’re rich and famous.
Where are all these people going, and are they going to be buck naked when they get there? Am I the only one getting just a bit freaked out here? Well, don’t worry, because it turns out everybody’s been transported fully-clothed (darn) to the wonderful world of Star Wars Battlefront! The status of Anna Kendrick’s sandwich remains unknown.
Between this trailer and the nostalgia-packed Star Wars Battlefront TV spot, EA is certainly making a hard play for Star Wars fans’ hearts and minds. I have a feeling it just might pay off for them. Star Wars Battlefront storms shelves on November 17.
