‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ Is Better With Party City Models

You’ve already seen the official poster for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and perhaps you enjoyed our ever-so-slightly flawed interpretation of it, but have you seen the version of the Star Wars: The Force Awakens poster recreated with promotional photos of people wearing Party City’s Halloween costumes based on the movie’s characters? MAYBE YOU HAVEN’T, AND YES THAT EXISTS. You are welcome.

Redditor eleetpancake created the re-imagined version of the film, saying he or she is “still not sure why” this was made. No explanation necessary. Some things just need to exist. And this is full of so many great little touches, like replacing the props and vehicles with promotional photos from the Star Wars toy line, and — my favorite of all — providing a cameo for Raphael from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. He’s acting as a stand-in for a character we assume is space pirate Maz Kanata, who’ll be mo-capped and voiced by Lupita Nyong’o.

That’s good hustle.
