Let’s Liveblog Tuesday’s Geeky TV: ‘The Flash’ Starts A Crossover, ‘Agents of SHIELD’ Gets Closure

The Flash had a great episode two weeks ago, where fan favorite Gorilla Grodd was brought back and promptly sent to a big farm where all the superintelligent gorillas go to play. No, they actually have a superintelligent gorilla preserve in an alternate reality. Anyway, now that the CW is launching another DC TV series, it’s time for a crossover to set that up, as you can see from the above trailer.

It’s really all about the Hawkpeople, as Kendra discovers her Hawkgirl past and we meet Vandal Savage, the main antagonist of Legends of Tomorrow. Hopefully she also discovers the joy of Cisco, because, come on, Cisco could use a win. We’ll find out tonight at 8 p.m. on the CW.

Immediately after, Coulson decides he’s had enough of Ward’s sh*t and goes to take him down in a plotline two years in the making. If you haven’t been watching Agents of SHIELD, you really are missing out, these days. They’ve been messing around with different ideas and delivering some really fun and well-written spy/superhero stories. The last new episode, two weeks ago, paid off four plotlines at once and not only tied them all together beautifully, but also set up some great plot threads for the rest of the season.

But this episode, the next to last for the year, is all about Ward and Coulson. Ward has been rebuilding HYDRA, Coulson has been rebuilding SHIELD, but it looks like it’ll come down to the two of them in a fight. We’ll see how it ends tonight at 9 p.m. on ABC. Join us, won’t you?
