Assassin’s Creed III Looks Pretty Good, Will Apparently Be Entirely In Slow Motion

Ubisoft has released a new trailer designed to show off their new Assassin’s Creed III AnvilNext engine. There’s a lot of fancy talk in the trailer — seamless worlds of nearly infinite possibility! Encounter up to 2000 non-player characters in a single sequence! The most detailed 3rd person action character ever created! Phew! I’m not sure what exactly it all means, but it sounds impressive. Also, the entire trailer is in slow motion, so the game’s going to be extra dramatic (or just have a terrible frame rate).

Hit the jump for the trailer…

Not bad at all, although a lot of it still looks like a cutscene to me. Like, how exactly is that battlefield scene with 2000 soldiers going to work in gameplay terms? Also, what role do the badass slow motion wolves play in all this? So many questions.
