Meet The Historical Figures You’ll Be Lending A Helping Blade To In ‘Assassin’s Creed Syndicate’

You may not have read about it in your history books, but it turns out most important figures from the past only achieved their great feats because they had a mysterious hooded figure whispering advice in their ear and, when the need arose, stabbing their enemies into oblivion. Wacky, semi-accurate historical figures have always been an important Assassin’s Creed staple, and thankfully Assassin’s Creed Syndicate will have more than its fair share of Victorian Age luminaries running around.

In addition to the already-announced Charles Dickens and Charles Darwin, we have telephone inventor Alexander Graham Bell, who apparently also worked on electric hand grenades, Karl Marx, Florence Nightingale and Queen Victoria herself. I love how on board Syndicate’s main characters are for the whole communism thing. Also, I can’t wait for the mission where you have to stab a dozen dudes in the jugular to help our Florence Nightingale deliver the children’s medicine or something.

Of course, these are only the historical figures you get along with. We also know Jack the Ripper will be doing his dirty business in the game, and I’m sure there will be some famous Templars skulking around as well.

While we’re at it, here’s a new cinematic TV spot for the game…

Assassin’s Creed Syndicate hits shelves October 23.
