Nasir Al Niyadi and Omar Al Hegelan have set a new world record by base jumping 2,716 feet off the side of the world’s tallest building, the Burj Khalifa (AKA the Burj Dubai). The Guardian published a helmet-cam video of the feat (embedded below) that almost made me pass out (so it must be awesome).  The Burj has been base jumped from before, illegally, while it was under construction (second video below) by a Frenchman and a Brit, but the building was 200 meters shorter at the time.  That’s still about 2060 feet more than I would ever jump.  I get dizzy just standing on the bodies of my recently vanquished enemies.  I need to start slaying skinnier people, but they run too fast.  Oh well, back to work. *puts on armor, picks up sword, gets on broom horsey and gallops toward the nearest Arby’s*

He once resolved the question “To be or not to be?” through the clever use of General Semantics. Your mom thinks you could be more like him if you only applied yourself.
