A Man Was Arrested After Hurling A ‘Batarang’ At A Cop Car

Holy misuse of film novelties, Batman! Cops in Seattle have arrested a 23-year-old man over a stretch of alleged mayhem that included a Batarang being used as a projectile weapon. That’s probably not the Batsignal type effect the suspect was going for.

Police were called to a Capitol Hill bar on Monday after the suspect threatened a bouncer with a knife attached to a metal pole. We’re going to write that again for emphasis: after the suspect threatened a bouncer with a knife attached to a metal pole. (Batman’s makeshift spear craftsmanship is a bit better than that of the man in the police blotter.) Cops were called about the incident and the suspect allegedly threw a freaking Batarang at a police SUV while fleeing. As the photos from the fuzz show, this dude wasn’t playing around with his comic book weaponry.

The cops eventually got their man and he’s facing a felony assault charge, plus charges for other offenses. It’s almost as if bad things will happen if you use a superhero’s tool to counter the police chasing after your (alleged) makeshift spear threatening session. What would Adam West say?
