In the world of trailer mashups, it’s rare that we get a chance to put two massive films together in one video. It’s sometimes an art and sometimes it just works out. Here is one of the latter, as Star Wars: The Force Awakens meets the visuals from Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice, proving that sometimes audio just fits. Or it fits when you’re deep in concentration about it all.
If anything, this mashup shows you just how powerful and well the trailers are put together. There’s little doubt that each serves their own movie well, but together they serve the “nerd” culture that has overtaken popular culture these days. If a Star Wars / DC Comics crossover film were to actually happen, the fans of the world might actually lose their collective minds. Think the genesis of Patton Oswalt’s epic Parks And Rec scenario with Star Wars and the Marvel Universe (something actually more likely to happen now).
Hell, let’s just stuff all three together and then toss in the fantasy element from Lord Of The Rings, but with Game Of Thrones characters. Toss in the Trix rabbit for good measure.
