‘Batman V Superman’ Ultimate Edition Trailer Is Filled With New Footage And Deleted Scenes

Collider just premiered the trailer for the extended Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice Ultimate Edition, and holy crap is Warner putting this out on Digital HD soon: June 28, to be precise. Get that money, son of Jor-El. The theatrical version will be available — along with non-digital formats of the ultimate edition — on Blu-ray Combo Pack, DVD, and Ultra HD Blu-ray this July 19. The extended version runs 182 butt-numbing minutes long and Collider lists all the special features over here.

To promote this 30-minutes-longer R-rated version — which, safe to say, probably isn’t coming to theaters after all as was rumored — Warner has released the trailer above, which is chock full of little bits of the new footage, albeit none of it particularly shocking unless you’re the world’s biggest Jena Malone fan. Collider also helpfully provided a breakdown of what’s in the trailer that wasn’t seen in theaters:

Clark watching TV in Kitchen. The interview on the TV is different than what was in the Theatrical.
Superman seeing flying away from the Capital after the explosion.
Drone firing the missile at the desert compound as Superman flies directly into the camera.
Bruce in the shower.
Security monitor footage of Batman in LexCorp.
Voiceover and shot of individual scratching the Bat symbol into a Lottery scratcher card.
Russian using flame thrower at desert compound.
Russian watching and smiling as Superman takes out missile.
Jena Malone
Alfred line “So falls the House of Wayne.”
Woman who tells Clark only fists stop him.

No word yet on if they’ll subtitle the Ultimate Edition with our humbly-suggested new title:
