Most horror films follow the genre’s traditional format — a group of people goes somewhere they shouldn’t, disturbs something they shouldn’t, then are maimed/killed/eaten. In the end, a lone survivor defeats the antagonist, escapes the location he or she never should have gone to in the first place, and the credits roll.

But what if all of a horror film’s protagonists were the lone survivors of other franchises? That’s the question posed by Bruce Vs. Frankenstein, the working title for Bruce Campbell‘s long-gestating horror project modeled after The ExpendablesMovieweb asked Campbell about it:

Yeah! Never say never. I have a script that I’m working on that would pretty much be that. It’s not ready to share at this point. It’s in the pipeline I guess you could say. I’ve always wanted to do the Expendables of Horror type movie. Because I always run into all my horror buddies at conventions. It would be fun to do a movie that pretty much has all of them in it.

Described as a sequel to My Name Is Bruce (2008), Campbell has mentioned the film from time to time. However, with the upcoming Ash Vs. Evil Dead series on Starz, don’t expect a finished script anytime soon.

Aside from Bruce’s Ash-like persona, who else would you want to see in the film?
