Even before the Fantastic Four reboot was announced, we’ve been hearing Fox wants them to meet and/or fight the X-Men. And after two years of rumors, Bryan Singer has confirmed it’s in the works.
These rumors have been around for a while, but this comes from Singer himself. Talking to Yahoo! Movies, Singer noted he’s been working on the plot:
Those ideas are in play. That would be a natural match-up because they’re both ensemble films and there is a natural mechanism by which to do it… It deals with time. That’s all I’m going to say.

As for whether or not Singer will take the reins of the Fantastic Four movies going forward, like he’s been rumored to have been asked to, he remains coy on the topic. And he’s also pretty blunt that if the Fantastic Four movie doesn’t go anywhere, this crossover isn’t happening. Of course, that doesn’t rule out a crossover with Deadpool. We’re just saying.
