The ‘Call Of Duty: Black Ops III’ Story Trailer Delivers Futuristic Thrills And Christopher Meloni

Call of Duty: Black Ops III may be completely axing single player on last-generation consoles, but a story-driven campaign is still very much in the works for the Xbox One and PS4, and Activision just released a new story trailer to prove it.

Call of Duty: Black Ops III takes place 40 years after the events of Black Ops II, in a world that’s become even more wired and tech-dependent. It looks like the story will be about soldiers trying to maintain their humanity as their bodies and brains are pumped full of more and more wiring. Beyond that, it’s kind of hard to discern what the actual plot is, but hey, Christopher Meloni will be in it! Time to bring some Law & Order (and maybe some fridge humping) to the future!

There’s kind of no mistaking the fact that Activision is putting more effort into this year’s zombies mode than the story mode. Sure, the “main” campaign looks solid, but the zombies mode has Jeff goddamn Goldblum in it! Could we be seeing the beginning of the end of the traditional Call of Duty story campaign? Certainly seems like it might be the case.

Call of Duty: Black Ops III November 6.
