‘Calvin And Hobbes’ And ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ Continue To Be A Perfectly Adorable Pairing

SPOILERS AHEAD.

Earlier this year, we started sharing adorable fan art which set the characters of Star Wars: The Force Awakens in the world of Bill Watterson’s Calvin and Hobbes. The creator of these cute mashups, Marvel Comics and Disney Animation Studios artist Brian Kesinger, has continued to draw more parallels between surly Ben Solo (future Kylo Ren) and mischievous little Calvin, and we’ve been occasionally checking in on his work.

Kesinger’s illustrations have grown no less amusing over time. Calvin and Kylo just have so much in common; as we’ve said before, “They’re both stubborn, they both drive their parents nuts, they both have a big vision for the galaxy, they both have a skinny orange friend (shout out to Hux), and they can both do plenty of damage.” And now, they’re both scarred forever: Kylo at the hands (and lightsaber) of Rey, and little Kylo/Calvin succumbing to the emotional scars of the time he went exploring in mom’s closet…

And then there’s this new one combing Calvin’s classic snowmen with Greedo.

You can see more of Brian Kesinger’s art on his Instagram and his Etsy store, or check out some of our new favorites below.
