Check Out The ‘Captain America: Civil War’ Easter Eggs You Missed During The Superhero Fisticuffs

Warning: The video above and post below contain Captain America: Civil War spoilers aplenty.

There was a lot going on in Captain America: Civil War. A lot. Just keeping up with over a dozen superheroes can be daunting enough, so there’s a good chance you let a lot of comic-book references and Easter eggs whiz right by you. That’s okay though, because as usual Mr. Sunday Movies is here to run down all the little cool nods you probably missed.

A lot of the video is devoted to the similarities between Captain America: Civil War and the original Civil War comic-book storyline. Even though the actual plot specifics are very different, Marvel did a really good job of capturing the overall feel of the original Civil War, by lifting a lot of dialogue and iconic moments directly from the comics. There’s a lot of more obscure stuff too – like, the number of countries that sign the Sokovia Accords (117), which may be a reference to the issue of Captain America that introduces Falcon. To quote many a Stan Lee cameo, where do they come up with this stuff?

I’m sure there’s even more Easter eggs in Civil War that even the Mr. Sunday Movies guys missed. Did you notice any fun references?
