Kingsman: The Secret Service was a “surprisingly outstanding” sendup of spy-recruitment movies, but perhaps the best part (besides the adorable puppies) was Colin Firth’s gentleman spy, who (spoiler alert) seemingly died from a bullet in the face — usually rather lethal — from Samuel L. Jackson’s Russell Simmons-inspired villain.

But Kingsman grossed $414.4 million worldwide on a budget of $81 million, so a sequel and rumors of a resurrection were immediate. Then, this April, Taron Egerton tweeted a poster for the sequel, Kingsman: The Golden Circle, which made it seem clear Colin Firth’s character survived a bullet to the face. Must have caught it with his stiff upper lip.

Now a new addition to the cast — Game of Thrones‘ Pedro Pascal, who’s playing “Jack Daniels” — has Instagrammed a picture (above) of himself with Firth on set, referring to him by the character’s name, seemingly confirming this isn’t a twin brother or a clone or any silliness like that.

In addition to everyone listed above, the June 16, 2017 release will also bring back Mark Strong and add new characters played by Channing Tatum, Julianne Moore (as the main villain), Halle Berry (as the head of the CIA), Elton John, Vinnie Jones, and Jeff Bridges. But more importantly, will bringing Colin Firth back recapture some of this magic?
