Just In Time For Comic-Con, The First Trailer For ‘Con Man’ Arrives

If you’ve gone to any convention, you’ve probably seen Autograph Alley, full of stars from old TV shows and movies signing autographs for $10 a pop and taking photos with fans. It’s not where some celebrities see themselves winding up, though, which is the basis of Alan Tudyk’s Con Man.

Wray Nerely starred in Spectrum, a beloved cult SF show that was canceled before its time. While his close friend Jack Moore (Nathan Fillion) has gone onto massive stardom, Wray… is seeing the inside of a lot of convention halls, running into women who can urinate for excessively long times while unconscious, and discovering just how weird some nerds can get. Based at least somewhat on Tudyk’s own, substantially happier, convention visits, he’s also brought in just about everybody he knows: The cast list includes the entire cast of Firefly, Tricia Helfer, Casper Van Dien, Milo Ventimiglia, Amy Acker, Felicia Day, Wil Wheaton, Henry Rollins, Seth Green, Mindy Sterling, Sean Astin, James Gunn and Joss Whedon. We’re guessing the $3 million in crowdfunding he racked up helped matters.

Con Man arrives Sept. 30, just in time for New York Comic Con. Which Alan Tudyk is not yet attending, but give him time.
