Bilbo And Elrond Trade Stereotypes In A Deleted Scene From ‘The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey’

Did you purchase a copy of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey back in March? SUCKS TO BE YOU. Warner is releasing an Extended Edition with 13 extra minutes of all the dwarven singing and Bilbo looking trepidatious you could jam into a Warg’s mouth.

The digital edition is coming October 22nd, and the Blu-ray 3D, Blu-ray, and DVD follows on November 5th.

This new cut includes 13 minutes of extra film footage that extends individual scenes, making this the must-see, definitive version for fans. All disc versions of the Extended Edition include nearly nine hours of new bonus features and will be available just ahead of the December 13 theatrical release of the second film of the trilogy, The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug [official press release via ENI]

13 more minutes of the movie plus nine hours of people talking about it? OMG, YOU NEED THAT.

Sarcasm aside, you can watch one of the deleted scenes below, if The Hobbit is your jam. In the scene, Elrond reminds us of the Hobbits’ reputation for just sitting around, and Bilbo replies with a catty comment about Elves being vague. Oh snap, son. You better come correct when you play Middle Earth dozens.
