Disney Is Hiding Easter Eggs For ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ Across 20 New Books

Are you the kind of person who combs through every piece of media about a franchise, looking for hints and clues? Well, better clear some room on the ol’ credit card because Disney is putting out a whole bunch of new books for you to pore over obsessively.

According to Indiewire, Disney will be publishing a new book series, Journey to Star Wars: The Force Awakens, that will cover everything from straight novels to stickerbooks. Yes, all of it will be canon, and all of it, according to Disney, will contain hints and clues about what we might see in Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

On the bright side, if you can feel your wallet crying, Disney’s also bringing some major talent to this particular party. For example, Greg Rucka will be writing a Han Solo novel, and Marvel will be publishing the inevitable comic-book prequels, including one featuring Threepio. Curiously, R2D2 isn’t mentioned as being part of that arc, so it might just be the uptight one. Hopefully Artoo found a partner who actually listens and supports him.

Other books include a retelling of the only trilogy worth watching from multiple perspectives, as well as Star Wars: Aftermath, which will lay out where everyone went after Return of the Jedi. Now, the question becomes, when does Timothy Zahn come into play because, really, that’s mandated by law at this point.
