‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ Has A ‘Bigger And Better’ Quicksilver Scene, Says Evan Peters

Quicksilver’s Pentagon breakout scene from X-Men: Days of Future Past (video below, special effects breakdown video here) quickly asserted itself as the most memorable part of the film to many. Even though we made fun of his outfit, I have to admit that he seemed pretty cool, despite the Hot Topic wardrobe. But I still maintain that he looks like Jack White in an alternate dimension where everyone has sex with robots.

And guess what? We’ll be getting even more alternate dimension Jack White in X-Men: Apocalypse. Evan Peters has already announced his return, although he hadn’t seen a script yet at the time, and Bryan Singer teased an intriguing Quicksilver freeze frame scene on Instagram. MTV has caught up with Peters to ask him if he thinks they can top his scene in Future Past with something even more entertaining in Apocalypse:

“This year we’re working on something that’s bigger and better, keeping the same elements that worked, then adding a few new ones. I’m really excited to see it all cut together, and I’m excited for people to see it, too. I think it’s going to be a really fun sequence in what is going to be a massive X-Men movie. The scope of it — with the end of the world and Apocalypse coming — is going to be a very large, epic X-Men film.”

We hope one of the new elements is some sort of ridiculous fashion accessory we can make memes about. Get that boy some roller skates.

Anyway, we’ll see next May 26 if the big scene Evans is excited about can recapture this magic.
