‘Fallout 4’ Debuts Its First Trailer, Starring Dogmeat

Before you click play on this first Fallout 4 trailer, be warned that much of this trailer is Dogmeat wandering around looking sad. You might want to prepare excuses for tearing up, especially because this particular Dogmeat appears to have once had a family.

Anyway, beyond tugging at our heartstrings harder than the ASPCA, this trailer features a few hints for fans. It seems that the rumors about the game being set in Boston are at least partially true; we see a shot of the Old North End and Charlestown, and it appears the USS Constitution gets fitted with rockets at some point. Interestingly, it appears that the journey to Boston will be part of the story.

There’s not much more at the official site beyond that; despite the pre-order buttons being configured, they don’t actually let you preorder the game from retailers. So far, only the PC, PS4, and Xbox One versions are on the site, but PS3 and Xbox 360 editions are supposedly in the works as well. We’ll know more on June 14; Bethesda has an E3 presentation that will be pretty much all about Fallout 4.
