First Look: Spider-Man, Captain America, and More

Mashup spotted on 4chan (via EpicPonyz)

Several “first look” photos were released yesterday (space it out a little, guys. Jeez), so I’m gathering them together in one post.  I can’t get excited enough over one photo to write a whole post about it, then do the same three more times in a row.  Well, unless they’re photos of Sinbad in a beekeeper suit.  OMG, do you have any photos like that?  Pleeeease can I have them?

Anyway, the first look at Andrew Garfield as Spider-Man is at the right (spotted at HeroComplex).  There’s a couple interesting things to note about this picture (besides Garfield’s sexy childbearing hips).  JoBlo pointed out on Twitter that if you look closely at Garfield’s wrists (picture here), there appear to be artificial web shooters in the suit, which is in keeping with the first comics, where the web shooters were an invention of Parker’s rather than a power.  BleedingCool also speculates this might be the scene from the comics when Peter learns with great power comes great responsibility.

On the next pages are first looks at Chris Evans in the full Captain America getup, as well as Tomar-Re and Sinestro in The Green Lantern, the first pics of the Starscream toy for Transformers 3: The Dark of the Moon, and an AMAZING GAMMASQUAD EXCLUSIVE (!!!) second picture of Garfield as Spider-Man you don’t want to miss. (UPDATE: plus one additional picture of what could have been.)
