Guy Who’s Better At Zelda Than You Beats Ocarina of Time in 23 Minutes

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time doesn’t seem like a great game for speedruns. I mean, it’s a huge game — even cutting all possible corners, it’s still going to take you hours to complete, right? Nope.

A new glitch has been found that makes it possible to beat Ocarina of Time in under half-an-hour. Around 22 or 23 minutes to be exact. Man, and here I was impressed when I beat the game in around 20 hours.

Basically the glitch lets you jump directly from first boss Queen Gohma, all the way to the final fight against Ganon, skipping almost the entire game. You can check out a video by the guy who discovered the glitch (he also currently holds the world speedrun record for OOT) after the jump…

I really can’t fathom the dedication to master a game so thoroughly. Hell, I never even collected all the gold Skulltulas.
