It's a Capcompalooza — New Trailers for Resident Evil 6, Devil May Cry, Lost Planet 3 and Dragon's Dogma

About a week ago Capcom gave the media a peek at it’s 2012 line-up at their Captivate press event in Rome, and this morning all the trailers from the event were “leaked” online. I put those quotation marks around leaked because only hours after they slipped out, Capcom went and officially released the trailers themselves, so it’s pretty obvious these trailers were supposed to hit the Internet today regardless of leaks.
Hit the jump to check out new trailers for Resident Evil 6, the new reboot of Devil May Cry and Lost Planet 3. Yup, they’re making another Lost Planet.

Definitely liking this one better than the first RE6 trailer. Less sliding behind chest-high walls, more creepy. Also, Ada Wong and Sherry (the kid from RE2) are coming back apparently. Not sure if anyone was really crying out for the return of Sherry, but it gives me hope that maybe Claire and her jean shorts will also make a return. Oh, and also the game’s coming out almost two months earlier than Capcom originally said it would. Don’t see that happening often.

Hmmm, not sure what to think about this one — on the one hand Dante is now just a guy with a short brown haircut in a wife-beater who sounds like Shia LeBeouf. On the other hand there’s a scene where Dante gets dressed in Matrix-style slow motion while a slice of pizza obscures his dong. That’s gotta be worth some extra credit.

Guys fight aliens with big robots — can’t go too wrong with that. Or maybe you can — this Lost Planet is being developed by Spark Unlimited whose last two games were Turning Point: Fall of Liberty (43 on Metacritic) and Legendary (47 on Metacritic). Ruh oh.
Finally here’s a couple gameplay videos of Dragon’s Dogma, Capcom’s attempt to do a western-style RPG.

I dunno, looks a little overly chaotic and clunky to me. Also, does any of this game’s action not take place in pitch darkness? Hopefully I’m wrong and Dragon’s Dogma surprises — we’ll know for sure when it hits on May 22.
