Lady Sif Is Returning To ‘Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ For A ‘Bodyslamming Showdown’

The last couple of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. episodes before ABC put it on a multi-month hiatus were among the show’s best. Adding Adrianne Palicki to the cast has improved the ensemble and allows less screen time for Blandly Handsome Agent #2, and the more Kyle MacLachlan, the better. S.H.I.E.L.D. hopes to build on the momentum when it finally returns on March 3, and a week later, it’s bringing back a fan favorite.

Jaimie Alexander will again bring Thor‘s Lady Sif to ABC’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. — though there won’t be much opportunity for a trip down memory lane with Coulson & Co.

Because when Lady Sif resurfaces in the series’ second episode back (airing March 10), she will have lost her short-term memory, meaning she knows nothing of Thor, let alone what/who she is back on Earth to thwart. Also curious: Before Coulson’s team is able to reunite with the Asgardian…she will have engaged in a “bodyslamming showdown” with a superpowered foe whose identity the ABC series is keeping under wraps.

Fitz isn’t “superpowered,” but if Lady Sif wants to smack him around for a bit, she should feel free.
