No, I will not apologize for any puns I use in the title or in the liveblog we’ll be starting at 9pm EST tonight for Agents of SHIELD. That said, we might be too busy enjoying ourselves to pun, as the back half of the season takes shape.
I have to say, putting the first eleven episodes in the beginning of the season, then breaking it up with Agent Carter, is a smart idea. The show feels more like two separate mini-seasons this year, and it helps it doesn’t have to fart around until a movie comes out to follow through on its key plot twist.
That really showed last week, where, while we did pick up where we left off, it was essentially a new season. In fairly short order, Coulson turned HYDRA against itself, Skye, er, Daisy discovered she was Inhuman and got an ally in Fitz, and Raina discovered being a human porcupine sucked before being rescued from suicide by an off-brand Nightcrawler. This episode, apparently, will feature Sif losing her memory, and also probably an explanation of why Mockingbird and Mack are acting all traitor-y. We’ll be liveblogging starting at 9pm EST tonight.
