I have to admit, part of me loves Gotham simply because the show knows it’s insane and doesn’t care. In the last two episodes, it appears to be upping the ante. Although you’d think they’d know better than for us to worried about Barbara dying.
A quick recap of the last episode: Gordon has been tracking down the Ogre, an actually fairly creative villain who’s essentially Norman Bates meets Christian Grey. The Ogre’s thing has been killing the people cops love if they try to investigate him, so, needless to say, Gordo’s beloved Leslie Thompkins… is under no threat at all, being that the Ogre has kidnapped Barbara and is threatening to kill her. Can we sum up our feelings about that in a GIF? Sure we can!
Sadly, it appears that Gordo will discover his true love is a limp, dull character the writers can’t even bother to take out of her apartment or issue a pair of pants. But hey, maybe they’ll do something interesting with her! Maybe she could take over that weird out-of-nowhere organ farm Fish was stuck on?
Speaking of which, Fish is back in Gotham, which is perfectly timed because Sal Maroni has just angered the Penguin to a truly epic degree. So, a lot of mob-related violence is about to go down, which should liven up the proceedings. We’ll find out at 8 p.m. EST. Join us, won’t you?
