Let’s Talk About Tonight’s Geeky TV: ‘Flash’ And ‘Arrow’ Finally Cross Over

Two comic book shows from the same production company shooting in the same city? A crossover was all but inevitable. The Flash kicks off a two-part with Ollie and Barry in a massive fight, which we of course will be liveblogging. Plus here’s a look at the other geeky TV on tonight.

All times are Eastern.

8pm

The Flash, The CW: Barry loses it and Ollie has to take him down. How, precisely, Ollie will do this is an excellent question. But we know it involves trick arrows! Check in on the liveblog, we’ll tell you if it involves glue arrows!

Also, if you missed last week’s episode due to travel constraints like I did, get on that. It was a clever episode and it dropped some major hints for the back half of the season.

Toy Story That Time Forgot, ABC: This new special is paired in a block with the Charlie Brown Christmas special, and we really hope they dial back the dark themes on this one because otherwise that’s going to be a pretty bleak hour of animation.

Looper, FX: OK, this starts at 7:30, but if you love great SF movies, this should be on your radar.

9pm

Agents of SHIELD, ABC: Not to be upstaged by DC, Skye and May get into it as the team races for the lost city. No, guys, wrong season, we wanted Skye to get beaten up last year.

Supernatural, The CW: The episode is entitled Hibbing 911, in case you were wondering what the inspiration for it might be. Maybe the guys will dress up in khaki shorts?

Babylon A.D., Syfy: Man, Vin Diesel spent a long, long time trying to recapture that Riddick magic, huh?

10pm

Forever, ABC: The magic coroner reminisces about that time he made everybody in his life uproot and run away to protect his secret, again, this time while investigating a dead British aristocrat. By the way, if you want more of this concept, there’s a Blake Lively movie that’s precisely the same idea. No, seriously.

Remember, we’ll be liveblogging The Flash tonight, at 8pm Eastern. Join us, won’t you?
