News Station Simultaneously Trolls ‘Star Trek’ And ‘Star Wars’ Fans

The local CBS TV affiliate in Philadelphia ran a story about Star Trek last Sunday morning. When they updated their website with the print version of the story, they used a header photo of the Millennium Falcon from Star Wars. Since a disturbance in the force of this magnitude never goes unnoticed, they were eventually tipped about their error and changed the photo. But not before Jim Romenesko saved this screengrab for posterity:

They changed the photo to a boring, blurry snapshot from a Star Trek convention. What a missed opportunity. They should have embraced the warmth of the internet rage — let the hate flow through you, CBS Philly — and changed their banner picture to one of these:
