Margot Robbie Explains Why You Shouldn’t Get A Tattoo From Her (But She’ll Totally Give You One)

Stephen Colbert hosted a special Sunday mostly-live taping of The Late Show aired after Super Bowl 50. It was a star-studded event with live or taped appearances by President Obama, Key and Peele, Megyn Kelly, exotic animal expert Will Ferrell, as well as Tina Fey and Margot Robbie (Suicide Squad‘s Harley Quinn).

Fey and Robbie were on hand to promote their movie, Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, but the conversation veered into Robbie’s penchant for adventurous things, like swimming with sharks and giving people tattoos. She’s done 26 tattoos and offered to give Tina Fey one. And hey, she’s only misspelled one of them. Oh, yeah, that might be a good detail to consider before you sign up for a free tattoo.

We already knew about Robbie’s tattoo gun thanks to those set photos of people getting tattooed with “SKWAD” after Suicide Squad wrapped:

They even made an inside joke about the misspelled tattoo before the public heard about it.

It was Ike Barinholtz who first revealed the mistake in an interview filled with wild set stories. He explained, “One of the guys she tattooed, she made a big typo. And he was like, ‘Oh it’s cool, don’t worry about it!'”

Stephen Colbert got Robbie’s side of the story. She revealed it was Jai Courtney‘s cast assistant Simon who volunteered to be tattooed first and received a misspelled tattoo (“SWAD” instead of “SKWAD”) on his arm.

Whoopsiedoodle. Or, as Tina Fey puts it, “A good time to be pretty.”

On a positive note, Simon’s ink is still better than the Joker’s, and he learned a valuable lesson about volunteering to go first.
