‘Teen Wolf’ Is Coming To An End After Its Upcoming Sixth Season

Fans of Teen Wolf knew that Scott McCall wasn’t going to be staying in Beacon Hills forever, and it looks like Tyler Posey and the rest of the cast and crew of the hit MTV show will be leaving as well. During the Teen Wolf panel Thursday afternoon at San Diego Comic-Con, show developer Jeff Davis announced that Teen Wolf will be ending its run after its sixth season.

The sixth season of Teen Wolf will air this November and will take its final bow for its 100th episode sometime in 2017. Teen Wolf, which is a “darker and sexier” adaptation of the 1985 Michael J. Fox classic, has been a tentpole show for MTV since 2011. At the panel, Davis told fans,“I know we’re sad about it and it’s bittersweet, but we’re so happy to be able to come to Comic-Con and share it with you guys.” Before the announcement, Davis spoke with Entertainment Weekly and described the final season as a “great gift to the fans.”

Davis appeared with Teen Wolf stars Tyler Posey, Holland Roden, Dylan Sprayberry, Cody Christian, and Khylin Rhambo. Roden, who plays Beacon Hills High ‘it girl’ said to the crowd, “I grew up with this gang of boys basically during my entire 20s, and it’s been the craziest ride. I probably wouldn’t be acting if it wasn’t for this show.”

Teen Wolf already released the teaser trailer for season six and it appears that the infamous Nazi werewolf is back, plus the addition of new bad guys, the Ghost Riders. If the trailer is any indication, it looks like this MTV drama will be ending on a high note.
