Finnish movie Iron Sky has been in development hell for quite some time (the teaser below is from 2008). Now io9 reports it will begin filming in Frankfurt next spring, with a budget of five million euros.

The premise is that the Nazis made a breakthrough in anti-gravity technology in 1945 and fled to the dark side of the moon when facing defeat in WWII.  In 2018, they send aryan hottie Julia Dietze back to Earth to help plan the Space Nazi Invasion of 2018 (mark your calendars).  They are currently planning to release the film at the end of 2010.  Nothing says Christmas like astronaut Nazis from the future, as my great uncle Randolph from Argentina always says.

P.S. I hate Mooninite Nazis.
