If you’ve watched Daredevil season two on Netflix, you might’ve gotten a look at the short tease for Luke Cage. We showed a few shots from it late Friday, but the full teaser has been dropped online. It doesn’t give too much away for what we can expect plot wise, but you have to expect that the show will carry a different tone than the rest of the Marvel Netflix offerings up to this point.
It might have that same look, but Luke Cage has never really carried that same brooding feel in the comics. At least you hope he won’t. Some weren’t too impressed with his appearance in Jessica Jones, so the series should be a way to break the character out on his own.
Since we can expect Luke Cage in September, it won’t be too long until we know for sure. We should also get our first taste of Iron Fist in the show, followed closely by any controversy that is still lingering over the casting choices for the role.
This is all well and good, but where is that Squirrel Girl show we were promised? Marvel might not legally be able to have her fight Doctor Doom, but she could likely take on Ultron or Thanos by herself. Already took on the latter anyway. Get her in this Netflix mix!
