Nolan North Takes Time Off From Voicing Every Video Game Character to Appear in Star Trek 2

If you’re a gamer you know who Nolan North is — he’s the voice of, well, pretty much every male character in video games. Well guess what? J. J. Abrams is a gamer, and that led to North getting a role in the upcoming Star Trek movie. I’ll let North tell it…

“The reason I did that movie – it’s a very small role – but it’s because he and his son are huge fans of Uncharted. I met him doing some work on Super 8 and he said ‘We’re doing Start Trek, you wanna do it?’ And I said I’d love to.”

So, basically, all being the most recognized voice in gaming qualifies you for a small walk-on part as a bumpy foreheaded alien in a Star Trek movie. Eh, it’s something. In the past being a top video game voice actor probably wouldn’t have qualified you to sweep the set. Keep your eyes out for an alien with a very Nathan Drake-esque half tucked shirt when Star Trek 2 hits theatres next May.
