If you find yourself surrounded by the usual zubats, pidgeys, rattatas and weedles when you play Pokémon Go, you need to get out into the real world of augmented reality in order to hunt those rare Pokémon down. But where are they? Searching blindly for Pokémon is fun at first, but it can become a real grind. And there’s nothing worse than being next to a pond, trying to farm magikarps when none will appear. (Literally nothing, okay? I’ve taken starving children into account.)

Thankfully, since Pokémon Go trainers are bonded together in a way not seen outside of traditional MMOs, a new app has been developed by the Pokémon Go community to help your hunts go smoothly. Poke Radar is an interactive map that makes finding those off-the-radar Pokémon easy.

The official site breaks it down:

You can automatically see all of the known pokemon locations around you by scrolling around the map or you can alternatively use the “Search” button to select a specific pokemon you want to find.

Unless, of course, you’re one of those trainers who will hog this revelatory app to themselves in order to gain a leg up on their competition. It’s cool. You do what you need to in order to keep your team on top.
