When the PC version of Grand Theft Auto V finally opened the game up to mods, I don’t think anybody expected recreations of ’90s TV show intros would be the main thing modders would focus their energies on, but here we are. So far we’ve seen the openings to The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, King of the Hill, Captain Planet and many more remade with GTA V, and now we may just have the most terrible/hilarious mashup yet.
Yes, YouTuber Merfish went and recreated the intro to The Powerpuff Girls in GTA V, and well, it isn’t a particularly happy marriage. GTA V is a lot of things, but cute isn’t one of them, and the GTA version of the Powerpuff Girls is more than a little off-putting. Professor Utonium creating the girls comes off like horror movie footage, and Michael, Trevor and Franklin dressed up like Bubbles, Blossom and Buttercup feels deeply unwholesome. That said, where else are you going to see Blossom shivving Mojo Jojo to death?
