We’ve written about Fujitsu’s robot teddy bear lets it track facial expressions (like abject terror). It has 300 programmed reactions to touch, sound, and facial expressions. Fujitsu is marketing this to schools and nursing homes for “robot therapy”, which sounds like an oxymoron. I think I need therapy just after watching the clip below.
Meh. I still prefer Teddy Ruxpin. I don’t see any slot on the Fujitsu bear for me to insert a George Carlin stand-up cassette. Advantage: Ruxpin.
