HeatVision is reporting Viggo Mortensen is “at the top of the list to play General Zod”. No deal has been made yet, and Mortensen is still in negotiations for Snow White and the Huntsman, which may conflict with the filming schedule for the Superman reboot directed by Zack Snyder and produced by Chris Nolan. HeatVision goes on to say there are three female parts currently being cast as well.
So they’re really going to rehash Zod? They can’t go into new territory with Brainiac or Darkseid or even a new villain called Bloomer whose power is resurrecting things from the dead, specifically Orlando Bloom? He’s dead, right? Well, have you seen him anywhere? Yeah, definitely dead.
