This Real-Life Recreation Of ‘Space Invaders’ Is Slime-Covered Chaos

Some video games are pretty easy to recreate in real life, just take a football out to a field for a reasonable facsimile of Madden, but what about Space Invaders? That would be a bit tougher to figure out, but the team at Rooster Teeth managed to pull off real-life Space Invaders pretty damn successfully.

On one side, there’s a formation of folks armed with slime-filled water balloons playing the “aliens” and on the other, two guys have to push a cart back and forth while firing at the aliens with a Nerf gun. They even set up barriers made of green boxes in-between, and have the mystery mothership do a fly-by. A very unique version of the mystery mothership. All the basics are covered.

So, are the evil alien octopuses defeated? Not to spoil things, but the battle doesn’t go so well. Earth’s defenders have trouble reloading their Nerf gun (something you don’t have to worry about in the Space Invaders video game) and four aliens manage to sneak through. Oh well, what can you do? I, for one, welcome our new alien overlords.
