The Star Wars: Battlefront beta is currently pitting players against each other on the frosty terrain of Hoth, and it’s allowing them to fail at intensely hilarious pace. Not only are people getting a chance to test the game out and admire the beautiful chaos going on all around them, they’re also encountering the heroes of the game: Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker.
In the video above, one player ends up having an encounter with Skywalker in the middle of the battlefield. He gets in a few good shots, but it looks like Skywalker is about to do his Jedi thing and cut our brave player down in a hurry. At least he was. The foot of one of the giant AT-ATs in the game flattens Skywalker into the ground and puts an end to the offensive in comical fashion. It’s a thing of beauty and perfect timing (unless it happened to be planned somehow).
There’s also some stuff floating around with Darth Vader in it, but it is far less comical. And it seems a little cheap.
