The Star Wars Film You Don’t Care About Gets 3D Release Date

For those of you who enjoy watching Star Wars films in the theaters, I’ve got good and bad news.

The good news is that you’ll be getting a 3D Star Wars film in theaters on February 10, 2012. The bad news, it’s Episode 1: Phantom Menace, which completely outweighs the good news. (Is anything worth the nightmares that a 3D Jar Jar would surely cause? Those theaters will be full of people just trying to punch thin air.)

In more bad news, Lucas is releasing the 3D films in order of release date, which means we get to see the worst of all the films first. Each film will be released on February 10 of each year, so we won’t get to the original movie until 2015, with Return of the Jedi coming out in 2017. So, feel free to stop caring about this until at least four years from now. We certainly will.
