A Brand New Shredder Has Been Cast For ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2’

Shredder will return to terrorize the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in their upcoming sequel to 2014’s reboot, but this time he will have a bit more of a face. Brian Tee has been cast as the Turtles’ arch-nemesis, most likely finding a way to break out of prison and take on the heroes once again, maybe with the help of Madea. Actor Tohoru Masamune played the villain in the initial film, but was reportedly a last second change during re-shoots.

You probably remember Tee from his role in The Wolverine or in The Fast And The Furious Tokyo Drift, two noteworthy roles where he played baddies. He was a bit more of a weasel in The Wolverine, so I don’t think he’ll be pulling from it too much here. I actually don’t know what he’ll be pulling from considering how drastically different the reboot is from the original series.

We do know for sure that it isn’t WIlliam Fichtner behind the mask and it isn’t a robot. Maybe things are swinging back to a way that fans who care will be more familiar with? We’ll have to wait and see.
