UPROXX GammaStream: We Stream ‘Battlefield: Hardline’s Single-Player Campaign

Yes, we’re tackling the first really big release of March today, Battlefield: Hardline. And it promises to be an interesting stream, as EA is taking some big steps away from its comfort zone with this franchise.

First of all, the developer is Visceral Games, who you might know better from the Dead Space series. While Visceral has dabbled in Battlefield before, working on the End Game DLC for Battlefield 3, this is both their first full game in the series and, in fact, their first FPS since the PlayStation 2 days.

Secondly, this is the first Battlefield game to deal with police instead of military, and it has mechanics to match. Apparently, just bursting in and shooting everything that moves isn’t really a viable option, at least in the single-player campaign. There’s even a badge mechanic to allow you to arrest enemies instead of gunning them down.

As usual, I’ll be streaming on PS4, and we’ll start the stream at 3:35 p.m. EST and run until 5:30 p.m. EST. You can check out the stream right here, or stream it below:
