Wait, Herman Cain Is Quoting a Pokemon Song?

“A poet once said, ‘life can be a challenge, life can seem impossible, but it’s never easy when there’s so much on the line.'” Herman Cain has uttered those words on three separate occasions, attributing them to a song performed at the 2000 Olympics.

Actually, they’re from the theme to Pokemon 2000, sung by Donna Summer. You probably know her better for “Last Dance”. Either way, we’ve got a would-be Presidential contender quoting the theme from a movie about animal cruelty.

But, you ask, is Cain just a big Donna Summer fan and got the song off of a “best of” album or something? Nope, as far as we can tell, it’s only been released on the Pokemon album, which isn’t even available on Amazon.com for download. So either he downloaded the thing illegally, he’s a huge Pokemon fan, or one of his staffers is a huge Pokemon.

Or Herman Cain has been trolling us this entire freaking time. That last might actually be a real possibility.
