Hugh Jackman Just Shared Some Good News About The Latest ‘Wolverine’ Movie

Toss your confetti! Wolverine 3 officially has a completed script. We’ve been told by industry “insiders” that scripts are often useful in filmmaking, so this seems like a positive development for the adamantium-enhanced franchise.

Hugh Jackman shared this exciting script development in a recent video posted by Collider. As a bonus treat, Taron Egerton was sitting nearby as Jackman passed along the news. (Both actors are in the upcoming Eddie “The Eagle” Edwards biopic that exists under the sensible title Eddie the Eagle.)

We have a script. A full script. To tell you, two days ago I got that the full finished—well, it’s not finished, but we’re getting super close—as you can see by the rate of my facial hair. That might give you a good clue that perhaps… yeah, it’s sooner rather than later.

Jackman told Collider (and Taron, we suppose) that he has high expectations for this growly motion picture. After all, it’s a film that Jackman considers his last as the iconic Marvel character.

My thing and I’ve told you and I’ve told everyone, it’s my last one, for me I want it to be perfect, so the moment I know it’s perfect, bang, we’ll go.

Wolverine 3 (or whatever it’ll be called after filming starts) is due for release on March 3, 2017. Be sure to hit play on the video below for more of Collider‘s talk with Hugh and Taron. No, they don’t make out in it. You’re welcome to print out their heads and mush ’em together though, if you’d like.
