Zach Galifianakis Might Be Aiming To Kill As The Joker In ‘LEGO Batman’

Will Arnett’s Batman is going to do battle with a Joker that has an actual background in comedy for once. Joining a long line of memorable actors — including the legendary Mark Hamill — Zach Galifianakis will be the latest to portray the maniacal clown on the big screen in LEGO Batman, giving us that much needed alternative to Jared Leto’s “damaged” version from Suicide Squad.

The Hollywood Reporter reports that Galifianakis is in talks to join Michael Cera’s Robin and the already established Arnett in the upcoming film and things look pretty good for the actor’s entrance into film. It’s not the comedian’s first foray into voice acting, with roles in The Simpsons, Bob’s Burgers and the Shrek spin-off Puss In Boots. It’s also a bit of good news for him given that Masterminds is postponed indefinitely due to the Relativity financial troubles.

Hopefully this means Joker gets his own theme song in the movie. No matter who ends up voicing the character, a silly theme is needed in order to rival Batman’s:
