21 Savage’s ‘All The Smoke’ Video Is A Brutal Slasher Flick

He never said what it would be, but 21 Savage promised his fans something on June 1st, and right after Game 1 of the NBA Finals between the Cavs and the Warriors he delivered on his promise with the brutal video for his new track “All The Smoke.”

It’s 21’s first single since “No Heart” and “X” with Future both collected platinum plaques earlier this year, and it’s more of the same from 21: some gritty lyrics over a trap banger produced by an Atlanta heavy hitter, except this time it’s all set atop a ghastly video in the form of a slasher flick with no resolution. The visual features cruel beheading, someone getting beat to death with a hammer so viciously it puts The Walking Dead‘s Negan bat scene to shame and a whole lot of diamonds hanging off 21’s neck.

It appears this is the first single off of the album 21 has on the way, and though details are scant beyond his “#IssaAlbum very very soon!” tweet back in February. Some speculated that the June 1st date he had teased would mark the arrival of the album, but maybe this is just the beginning of the rollout for that. With two platinum singles under his belt and his last LP Savage Mode going gold, you can’t blame 21 for wanting to take his time and get things in order this time around.
