Azealia Banks’ Battery Case Against Russell Crowe Was Thrown Out Quicker Than She Was

Getting too deep into Azealia Banks stories is akin to strapping on a VR helmet and diving into an H.P. Lovecraft story. No good can come of it, and trying to comprehend what you’re seeing will only lead to madness. That’s why — for the most part — we try to avoid covering the constant beef-starter too closely. But her recent story that she was forcibly ejected from a party at Russell Crowe’s house by Maximus himself was too insane to pass up.

The Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office apparently agreed, at least with the insane bit. TMZ reports that Banks’ battery case against the actor has been thrown out with the office claiming that Crowe was “justified” in his removal of Banks from the party “to prevent the imminent violence threatened by Banks.”

As for the claims that Crowe spit on her, the office says that was “incidental to preventing more serious threatened violence.”

Several witnesses — including RZA, who invited Banks to the party — said that Banks was threatening attendees of the party. The Wu-Tang member said that Banks said she would“cut a girl in the face with glass and then actually grabbed a glass and physically attack[ed] for no logical reason.”

Banks has yet to respond to her case being thrown out.
