Desiigner Just Caught A Huge Break After His Recent Arrest

In case you couldn’t tell by Lil Wayne, Prodigy, Ja Rule and Bobby Shmurda getting locked up, New York doesn’t play when it comes to unlicensed rappers walking around with unlicensed guns all willy nilly. Desiigner was pretty much pegged for being the next rapper to do time when he was arrested Friday morning after a reported road rage incident. The “Panda” rapper was booked on numerous charges, including a felony gun charge. However, it looks like Tiimmy Turner was only wishing for a burner.

It was thought the 19-year-old Brooklyn rapper had a loaded gun in his car after another motorist called 911 and claimed Desiigner pointed a gun at him in a fit of road rage. Designer was arrested and charged with felony criminal possession of a loaded weapon and menacing. But the district attorney has dropped the gun charges after authorities came up empty following a search of the rapper’s SUV.

Now Desiigner just has to fight his drug-related charges. When he was arrested, officers found bags of Oxycontin, methadone and illegal steroids. In total, five people, including Desiigner, were in the SUV. All five passengers were charged with felony possession of a controlled substance with the intent to sell.

Cops allegedly found a large quantity of pills on the console of the SUV in which the rapper was a passenger. Authorities got specific during the hearing … 57 green pills, 78 white pills and 139 round white pills. There were also a few duffle bags, allegedly containing controlled substances.

Desiigner is out and free for now.
