After teasing it out over Instagram back in March, today, Drake and OVO have unveiled their new collaborative shoe with the iconic British brand Clarks. The stylish, classic desert boot comes in three different colorways, black, beige, and purple. Each pair is affixed with the signature OVO branding on the upper and in-soles. The cost? A cool $375, or, just $120 less than Lonzo Ball’s signature Big Baller Brand ZO2.

The shoes actually have quite a bit to do with Drake’s recent turn into World music on his most recent project More Life. Jamaican sounds in particular. According to Vogue, “the Desert Boot’s particular cocktail of dapper British gentility and commando roughness—not to mention its practicality in an urban, tropical milieu—had made Clarks irresistible to the rudeboys of Kingston’s burgeoning concrete jungle.”

While many rappers and big name athletes have dedicated their time and attention to teaming up with activewear companies, Drake has decided to go in a different route. Drizzy of course, still has his deal with Nike and Brand Jordan, but it’ll be interesting if this new collaboration with Clarks opens up the door for other major culture icons to shift into a more refined space. Can Drake for Clarks what Kanye did with Adidas’ Boost platform with his signature Yeezy shoe? Only time will tell.

North American fans can cop the shoes through the official OVO store.
